I started doing the photo thing in the early 80's. I used to do a little climbing in the cascades and one of the guys I climbed with was into shooting photos of the climbs and everything surrounding us. I saw his stuff and bought some basic equipment and have been shooting ever since. I currently work as an Assistant Fire Chief for a small-town department in SW Washington State. When I am not doing the fire-paramedic thing I love to photograph whatever gets in my way in my beautiful Pacific Northwest. It is nothing for me to get in my Toyota Tundra and drive hours to a destination and take as many photos as possible of that area. I use only high end digital equipment from Canon: 20D and a 10D as a backup. I live with my son Nathan - 16 and daughter Nicole-14 as well as Rosie the cat.
